Autumn Twilight Blog Hop – Blooming in Faith and Fabric

Welcome to Day 5 of the Autumn Twilight Blog Hop—where we are celebrating the launch of this stunning fabric collection and the joy of quilting together!
This hop features the gorgeous Autumn Twilight fabric line from Island Batik, designed by Jerry Khiev for the incredibly talented pattern designer, Raija Salomaa of Quilters’ Treasure Chest.
And let me tell you—these dreamy blue tones, glowing spirals, and fall-inspired prints are pure magic. The minute I saw the fabric, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.
🧡 Not something new—but something deeper.
Rather than starting from scratch, I felt pulled to return to a pattern that’s near and dear to my heart:
Bloom Where You Are, a quilt + Bible study I originally created for Quilted Faith.
But this time, I decided to take it to the next level!

Introducing: Blooming 8s 💫
A creative and faith inspired expansion of the original pattern, Blooming 8s includes 7 brand-new quilt layouts—for a total of 8 beautiful designs, all built from the same foundational block: the humble half-square triangle.
And while the blocks may be simple, the message behind each one is anything but.

Behind the Seams: Tools & Techniques
Want to know how I kept things crisp and fun while working on deadline?
I used the Eight-at-Once method to make my half-square triangles quickly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
The Quilter’s Magic Wand for perfect markings
And my trusty Tucker Trimmer by Studio 180 Design for ultra-clean trims
I used the Strip Stick to make pressing seams open fast and easy.
I used Acorns Easy Press Pen to create flat as pancake seams.
These tools helped keep my points sharp, my angles true, and my stress levels low (well… mostly 😉).
